Since discovering my father’s old reel-to-reel tape recorder as a child, I have spent years playing with sound.  When I begin, I imagine myself “within the space” of the piece to help find the correct rhythm, sounds and aural textures that will bring it to life. My goal is to create soundscapes that express emotion, whether realistic or abstract. I’m still amazed at the power of a great soundtrack. -Grant
